As part of Water Awareness Month, the League of Women Voters asked restaurants and hotels to display tent cards on their tables telling customers that, because water is a precious and limited resource, it is served only upon request.

Barbara Litrell obtained several hundred cards from ADWR. She asked volunteers to go to restaurants in the area to request that they display the tent cards during March - Water Awareness Month -- and after that as well. "It begins a good habit," she said.
